For this exhibition I created a one room installation made in three parts during the residency, Of Sibyls and Source: Performance in the Landscape, at the International Center for the Arts. My research was hiking with my fellow resident artists across three days in the Parco Nacional di Sibilline, named for the prophetess of antiquity, who is believed to have lived there in a cave at the top of Monte Sibilla. This was a personal exploration of the very landscape whose view I framed my previous year in Italy for La Divisione: Part Cloth. Along the trail, I sought moments to slip inside of my dress—This Dress—and capture a view from inside, imitating the landscape with my head, hands, elbows, knees, and feet.
